According to foreign media reports on October 13, the association of natural rubber producing countries (ANRPC) recently said in a report that the global demand for natural rubber will depend on power supply in the short term. How long will the tight situation be and whether it can be effectively alleviated. It is expected that the power supply tension may ease in the fourth quarter.
According to the report, China's natural rubber consumption was about 507000 tons in August and about 50000 tons in September; China is expected to import 1.267 million tons of natural rubber in the fourth quarter, and the total import this year is expected to be 4.92 million tons.
ANRPC said in the report that the recovery of natural rubber demand and the relaxation of control measures related to the epidemic in Japan may partially offset the impact of tight power supply. Although the tight supply of chips has an adverse impact on the automobile manufacturing industry, this situation is expected to improve in the fourth quarter. In addition, the rise in international crude oil prices is expected to support the price of natural rubber.
