1. Advantages of reclaimed rubber
(1) Reclaimed rubber has good plasticity, is easy to mix raw rubber and compounding agent, saves man hours and reduces power consumption;
(2) The reclaimed rubber has small shrinkage, which can make the products have smooth surface and accurate size;
(3) Recycled rubber has good fluidity and is easy to make molded products;
(4) Recycled rubber has good aging resistance and can improve the natural aging resistance of rubber products;
(5) Reclaimed rubber has good heat resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance;
(6) The reclaimed rubber has fast vulcanization speed and good scorch resistance.
2. Disadvantages of reclaimed rubber
(1) The flexure cracking of reclaimed rubber is large, and the flexure cracking resistance of reclaimed rubber itself is poor, which is due to the weakening of the binding force in the molecule after the regeneration of waste vulcanizate. For some special products with high requirements for flexion and cracking, the use of recycled rubber should be considered, and pay attention to the use amount. The addition of rubber powder can improve the flexion resistance.
(2) The tear resistance of reclaimed rubber is poor, and there are many factors affecting the tear resistance. Among them, the mixture is unevenly dispersed. The rubber products not only have low physical and mechanical properties, poor aging resistance, but also weak tear resistance. In the desulfurization process of reclaimed rubber, due to uneven mixing and poor dispersion of regenerant, it is also a factor causing poor tear resistance of reclaimed rubber. Attention should be paid to this point in application. Mixing rubber powder can improve tear resistance.
